![]() | A Report by QAGUILD - Software & Systems Quality Conference, October 5th |
The London Software & Systems Quality Conference (SQC) was a huge success this year, with 220 official delegates and 12 sponsors/exhibitors. The conference was hosted by SQS, a global leader in independent software testing and quality management services.
The conference began with an exciting and ground-breaking keynote from Microsoft, which included a thrilling demonstration of the new Natal technology, where body ‘gestures,’ speech and movement manipulate the next generation of console games without the use of a physical controller. The speaker put this well into context and explained the unique challenges this brings with testing the technology. Throughout the rest of programme, the standard of presentations was also very high, with a number of high profile industry speakers and subject matter experts presenting an array of relevant and current topics. The programme had specialist presentations, practical case studies and customer success stories running in parallel, including tracks on:
The event also offered some excellent networking opportunities, there was a real buzz in the breakout sessions and despite the economic climate, the attendance was higher than expected. Delegates commented that the conference was “very interesting, especially the presentations presenting cases and examples” and “conference was very good, will attend next time.” Those delegates attending the conference would be well positioned and industry aware to step up to the challenges ahead. Overall the entire programme was outstanding and SQC is proactively adding to industry knowledge, empowering the testing and quality management community and providing overall leadership in bringing out the best solutions, innovations and practices.
